Wine & tasting
Labels, dinners, cellar notes. Your cellar, built from bottle shots you already took.
iOS · by BRK
Capture with Camera. Forget. Build with Balise.
You already shoot the things you care about — wine, watches, fashion, jewelry, fishing, cars, churches, whatever the obsession is. Balise reads that trail in the background and turns it into collections, events, and stuff you can explore — not another photo search.
For collectors & connoisseurs · iOS · by BRK
Document with Camera. Build with Balise.
Not better photo search. Balise builds your cellar, watch box, wardrobe, jewelry tray, fishing trips — from photos you already take. Keep the system Camera. Capture and forget.
Collectors & connoisseurs
Not “everyone with a camera roll.” People who already use Camera to keep a trail — collecting, hobbies, trips, rituals — and want that trail to become a real collection.
Labels, dinners, cellar notes. Your cellar, built from bottle shots you already took.
Pieces, wrist checks, details. The collection grows from the photos — not a spreadsheet you never update.
Outfits, fits, finds. What you wore and owned — structured from the pictures, not a second closet app.
Trips, catches, cars, places you return to. Same pattern: document with Camera, build with Balise.
Product proof
Placeholders for App Store / site shots. Feed a vertical demo library,
run Balise, capture these frames. Swap the dashed cards for PNGs in
apps/site/shots/ when ready.
iPhone frame · built wine cellar or watch box collection view (not a search box)
Single item from a collection (bottle / watch / outfit) with fields Balise extracted
Events / timeline for a vertical (tastings, trips, wears)
Ask answer grounded in a built collection (“What wines did I try in Lisbon?”)
Wardrobe / looks collection from docs/demo-libraries/fashion/
Jewelry tray / pieces collection from docs/demo-libraries/jewelry/
Prep checklist:
demo packs in docs/demo-libraries/{wine,watches,fashion,jewelry,fishing,cars,churches}/
→ import to Simulator/device Photos → run Balise focused pass → capture above frames
→ drop PNGs into apps/site/shots/ named 01-hero-collection.png … 06-jewelry.png.
How it works
Normal Camera app. Capture and forget. No second shutter. You pick which albums Balise can see.
Labels, objects, places, moments become structured knowledge — collections, events, and the things inside them.
Not “find that photo.” What’s in my watch collection? Which wines did I try last summer? Your photos already knew.
Not another camera · not better Photos search
You don’t open Balise to shoot. If an app needs a new habit, it isn’t us.
Apple finds the photo. Balise builds what it meant — cellar, rack, wardrobe, trip, habit.
Starts with your iPhone roll. Lightroom and other sources are on the roadmap. The durable asset is the knowledge.
Privacy
Originals stay in Apple Photos. We don’t keep your photos — inference copies are temporary and clean up fast. If we ever offer keeping a preview, that’s an explicit choice, off by default — not available today. No face recognition. Knowledge is yours — delete it anytime.
