The questions people ask about paying
What happens after the 90-day preview?
Nothing is charged automatically. Choose Trace to keep collections current, or Blaze to keep collections and Memory growing. If you choose neither, processing pauses and we retain your Balise data for 90 days so you can resume without starting over.
What happens to Memory on Trace?
It stays saved, open and searchable. Trace keeps your photo collections current, but Memory pauses: no new nights, no new stories or connections. Move to Blaze whenever you want it to continue.
Can I cancel?
Yes, whenever. It is an Apple subscription: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Balise. You keep the plan to the end of the period you paid for.
After that we keep everything Balise learned for 90 days, in case you come back — reactivate inside that window and nothing has to be learned twice. After 90 days we delete what Balise learned.
If I delete my Balise data, does that cancel the subscription?
No, and that is on purpose. Delete all Balise data wipes what we learned, right away. The subscription lives with Apple; cancel it there. Two different buttons, so neither one surprises you.
Students, families, two phones?
No Family Sharing: each account needs its own plan. A second phone on the same Apple account is fine; sign in and it’s there. No student price.
Why are history and Memory priced separately?
History is a one-time pass, so it belongs in one-time packs. The subscription pays for the ongoing work: new photos arriving, collections staying current, and on Blaze, Memory continuing to connect them over time.
